Mimo
Wallet and payments app with realtime balances and end-to-end QR payment flows.
- Role
- Sole developer of the mobile app, from navigation shell to release build
- Period
- May 2025 — May 2026
- Company
- DragonLab (subsidiary of DZFULLSTACK)
- Status
- Company source
Context
In a wallet app, the balance has to be right the moment the user looks at it. Mimo is a wallet and payments app where every transaction has to show up on screen immediately.
Problems & solutions
- 01
Realtime balances
Balances and transactions are pushed to the app over Laravel Echo WebSockets, in sync with the team's Laravel API — no waiting for the user to pull to refresh.
- 02
QR payments in both directions
Both sides are covered end to end: scanning a code to pay and generating a code to get paid, plus in-app charts of transaction history.
- 03
Working on a patchy connection
The app tracks network state and behaves sensibly offline, alongside multi-language support, permission handling and geolocation.
Outcomes
- Sole developer of the entire mobile app.
- Also sole developer of two other DragonLab apps: DragonStatisticals (internal reporting) and VipMiMo.
The source code belongs to DragonLab, so it can't be made public.
